ABOUT US
Our love for cars first started when our dad purchased the classic 1957 Chev. We absolutely loved that car and spent hours in it, driving to all different beaches in Victoria. We wanted to create a simple car club that caters to the essential needs of our members with no strings attached.
FAQ's
How much does club membership cost? $45 club membership for 12 months, $45 lodgement fee for paperwork on each vehicle brought into the club, $10 administration fee for yearly vehicle sign-off.
How old does the vehicle need to be to register for the VicRoads Club Permit Scheme? To register a light vehicle, motorcycle and heavy vehicle the minimum age is 25 years.
Can a vehicle become a member of a motor club without a roadworthy? The simple answer is No. It is only when you have a roadworthy for the vehicle you will be able to become a club member. If you are transferring from another club we prefer to have a copy of the original roadworthy.
What is the process for club membership? Your vehicle must pass the age limit test, have a current roadworthy then you can submit a member application form. The application process includes providing proof of ownership of the vehicle, basic personal details, scrutineering dated photographs of the vehicle (front, back, sides, engine bay, engine number, VIN, vehicle identification plates, chassis number, drivers side cabin and photo of the original roadworthy certificate), a VAS engineering certificate may be required for modified vehicles, and finally once the application is approved, dated photographs must be provided of your new red plates and the registration sticker on the vehicle.
What does "H" and "M" mean? "H" is a Historic vehicle club permit category and "M" is a Modified vehicle club permit category.
If I change my mind about a club permit, can I get my original number plate back? When you transfer to club plates you trade in your existing number plates. You are able to put these number plates on hold with Vic Roads if you want to be able to get these returned at a later date.
